Sterling Moss, one of the greatest race car drivers in history, just passed away at age 90. One of his many achievements was winning the Mille Miglia in 1955, at age 25. He and his co-pilot Denis “Jenks†Jenkinson set a record that is nearly guaranteed to never be broken. It was 992 miles in 10 hours and 7 minutes at an AVERAGE speed of 98.5 mph. This was not on a race track. This was on normal PUBLIC roads in Italy, driving a Mercedes Benz 300SLR. Really, truly, unbelievable.
